What we do not store
The household data you enter — names, rooms, chores, the resulting schedule — is generated and held entirely in your browser's memory. It is not transmitted to our servers. It is not written to any database we operate. It is not sent to any analytics provider. We could not look up your schedule if we wanted to, because there is no record of it on our infrastructure. See methodology for the technical architecture that makes this true.
What gets logged
Like any website, our hosting provider records standard request logs when you visit a page: a (typically truncated) IP address, the timestamp, the URL requested, the HTTP status code, the referrer, and the user-agent string. These logs exist to operate and secure the site. They are kept for up to 14 days and then deleted or anonymised. The full list is in our privacy policy.
We may use a privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics tool to count anonymous page views in aggregate. We do not link analytics events to identifiable individuals. We never sell or share log or analytics data.
Cookies and consent
The tool itself does not require cookies. Where Google AdSense serves ads, consent is gathered via Google's certified Funding Choices CMP in regions where consent is required (EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland). You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
Security posture
- HTTPS only. The site is served exclusively over TLS. HTTP requests are 301-redirected to HTTPS at the edge.
- No customer accounts. Because there are no accounts, there are no passwords to leak, no session tokens to steal, and no profile data to breach.
- Static delivery. The site is a static frontend delivered through a managed CDN with DDoS protection. There is no application database with household data attached to it.
- Dependency hygiene. Frontend dependencies are scanned for known vulnerabilities and patched promptly.
- Responsible disclosure. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please email hello@cleaningschedulegenerator.com with a description and reproduction steps. Please do not publicly disclose until we have had a reasonable chance to investigate (typically 30 days).
Acceptable use
The free generator is intended for personal, household and small-team use — families, flatshares, couples, dorms, small offices, single Airbnb owners. Reasonable commercial use (e.g. an independent cleaner using it to plan a single client's rota) is fine. We ask that you do not:
- Scrape the site or mirror it without attribution.
- Re-host the generator under a different brand without permission.
- Use the tool to build schedules that contain personal data of people who have not consented to being scheduled.
- Attempt to disrupt service for other users (rate-limit evasion, automated abuse, etc.).
Reporting abuse
To report abuse — copyright infringement, impersonation, spam-driven traffic, or any apparent misuse of the brand or the tool — email hello@cleaningschedulegenerator.com with the subject line "Abuse report" and as much detail as you can share (URLs, screenshots, timestamps). We aim to acknowledge within two business days.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16. Where a household uses the tool to plan chores for younger family members, that data stays on the parent's device — we do not collect it.
Subprocessors
We use a small number of subprocessors strictly to deliver the site: a CDN/hosting provider for static page delivery, a privacy-friendly analytics provider for aggregate page-view counting, and Google Ireland Limited for the optional AdSense advertising slots (only with your consent). The full list is maintained in the privacy policy.
