The traditional spring clean is rooted in a real thing: pre- central-heating, homes accumulated soot all winter and needed a full reset. The modern equivalent is a seasonal sort — air out every room, declutter what you didn't use over winter, and give attention to the surfaces that don't get weekly love.

• Wash curtains and machine-washable cushion covers.
• Vacuum mattresses, flip / rotate.
• Clean windows inside and out (warmer weather + dry air = streak-free).
• Clear gutters / outside drains while ladder weather is good.
• Sort the wardrobe — anything unworn this winter goes.

How fairness is calculated

Behind the scenes, every chore gets a numeric weight from its effort (small / medium / large), frequency, and a difficulty modifier for the genuinely unpleasant tasks. The algorithm distributes weight across people, not chore counts — three counter wipes do not equal one toilet scrub, and the schedule respects that.
